"Away at Grantville."

Even city-dwellers can't resist the embrace of the wild.

Third-year at university and pretty surely my last chance for a school camp. Yes way. It was a weekend hanging out with comforting Singaporean accents, sheep, horses and a lot of orientation games that reminded me of secondary school. Before I officially get too old for these games, let me have a last go at them.

Slightly over 100km away from the city, Grantville Lodge was a very refreshing (literally - it's all in the atmosphere) change. Pictures were pretty half-heartedly taken  - mostly for memory keepsakes - because I was really enjoying the technology detox and well, it's difficult to stay glam or dry during camps. These function just to help me remember the beautiful sights at Grantville, the site of our camp. Oh, and I tried night shots too. I didn't have the additional lens so this was just the original lens of my Nikon D550, at shutter speed of 30secs. I perched it on a makeshift tripod - a fallen stump. One with the nature, eh? Not very good for a first serious attempt. I will try again soon when I revived my dead camera.
Side note: My phone fell face flat on the grounds of Grantville, sustaining a spiderweb crack at the bottom of the glass screen. It still works as of now, so that's no biggie. I was quoted a hefty 190 bucks for repair works, and a 90 bucks (the remainder intact glass screen could be recycled) at Flinders Street Station, maybe because I was speaking Mandarin. Trying to work some cultural capital, but still too expensive for my liking.
