Playing bartender this afternoon with Quai Sud Melange Pour Cocktail (Sex on the Beach) with Absolut Vodka. It felt nothing less than a science experiment, complete with everyday kitchen tools like a funnel, a chopstick, spoons and bowls to get it done. Looks easier than it was done, but hey, homemade cocktails are more fun.
Now you have almost pre-mix everything to make most of the process self-explanatory: add A (ie. Quai Sud Melange pre-mix) to B (Absolut Vodka). The tricky part is actually how to get these bigger pieces through the tiny neck of the bottle. But we managed.
The combination is a tantalizing, nasal-invigorating fruity melee of peach, passionfruit(-ish) fragrances. Do not sniff it directly or experience a nasty instant wake-me-up effect. You are warned.
The tough part was over - getting really stubborn pieces into the vodka goodness. What's left is the pink sand-ish textured flavours, use a little physics knowledge and tilt the funnel at an angle (instead of right angles) to let it slip in easily.
Now, all that's left is to wait for it to marinate for 48 hours and to resist sneaking sips in between. ;)
Never miss a post again!
