My stay in Perth coincides nicely with the annual arts festival Fringe World Festival 2015. It is a very vibrant carnival-style event with many shows, performances to showcase different types of performing arts. It was near Russel Square, a short walk from where we alighted from the free bus service stop.
Here are some photos enroute to Fringe World!
The festival spans a huge area and we had to walk quite far before reaching what we came for... can you tell what the kids are excited about?!
MERMAID & MERMAN! They look really graceful while swimming around the tiny tank and also very good at entertaining the kids. When going underwater, they had to hold their breaths and open their eyes. It's amazing how they make it look so effortless... can you imagine their job title is actually being a full-time mermaid/merman? That's just so cool. I'm possibly the oldest person entertained by them... :)
I love the decor everywhere which is so well-done up for a temporary carnival. Even the most finicky me approves. It's such a treat for the eyes everywhere.
I went onstage for a little performance and demonstrated how to pose for ten consecutive photos. There was also a dance class going on and they performed in public after practising under a private tent. That's all for day three adventures... will be back for more soon ;)
Never miss a post again!
